Canterbury Park is a four acre park located along Willis Road, by the corner of South Ann Arbor Street and Willis Road. Parking is on-street, but the Wilderness Park dirt lot is conveniently located nearby. The park is also easily accessible from nearby houses and neighborhoods via pedestrian sidewalks. Canterbury Park features picnic areas with onsite grills, benches, an open area that can be use for catch or soccer, and multiple play structures - including a stegosaurus and a caterpillar, swings and slides.
The Rec on the Go program brings games and activities to the park every Thursday each summer, June 15 through August 14th. Art Van Go, hosted by the Two Twelve Art Center for children five to fourteen, also meets at the park on Thursdays, June 15th to August 6th.
Bring along a ball to play catch, or thrill the dinosaur lover in the family with the stegosaurus-shaped play structure. Whatever the activity, Canterbury Park is a wonderful place to play with the kids or have a picnic.
*Please note, Saline-Milan Road and South Ann Arbor Street physically are the same road. The name changes along the road’s path, and not all maps change the name at the same point. Google Maps, for example, uses both road names along this section.
